What is the Ultra-Fast Broadband project?

The UFB project is building what is known as a Fibre To The Premise network. The Government’s investment is in partnership with the private sector. Crown Fibre Holdings Limited (CFH) was established to manage the Government’s $1.35 billion investment in UFB to reach 80 percent of New Zealanders, and has also been tasked with managing the expansion of the scheme.

What is Premium Fibre?

Premium fibre is the term used for a guaranteed bandwidth circuit (Committed Information Rate or CIR) between the customer fibre connection and our Datacenter. This is a serious internet connection recommended for business cloud services that require service level agreements. In the Nelson/Marlborough premium fibre connections are provided by Network Tasman.
